It lets me shift both directions. It would be good if you could include info about the possibility of convergence offset aka depth offset, or relative eye offset for 3D content. So the guys buying a new nvidia card this year, which needs the newer drivers will have to pay extra fees to use this free feature. Pain in the ass with all the small screw, etc. I haven't had any lag issues with my set up like some people seem to have. Looks like the lens shift is rather minimal. Even 2D to 3D conversion doesn't work anymore.
I turned it off, adjusted the focus to the sharpest picture I could get and compared. And when we engaged 3D mode, the projector briefly sounded like it was revving up for a race before it settled back down to its normal levels. No power outages and the color was back to what I had before. While viewing movies I have 6 fps audio delay 70ms actual delay roughly. You may have two issues if the image is not as good as it was before you replaced the lamp while it was running the new lamp could be defective or blowing out the projector could have blown dust into the optics. Seriously, you all are incredibly helpful to lesser knowledgeable people like me. Do you think this will outperform my Acer h9500bd or should I try to get the Acer repaired and cleaned up? The same goes for the top.
Also how the repair depot tossed away my retail box , and the plastic bag which wrapped the unit inside the carrying bag. In conclusion I am very pleased with this projector. You may have two issues if the image is not as good as it was before you replaced the lamp while it was running the new lamp could be defective or blowing out the projector could have blown dust into the optics. I have to give it 4 stars per the system descriptions. I'm sure you've done that, but a good idea to check.
ProjectorCentral doesn't have any of this info. Now all the problems are gone and I'm very happy with this wonderful projector! Also you will only have 24 frames per second in the game. Can better be had for the money? It does the job very well. I am guessing if you are using this for lots of 3D you will need to replace the bulb before 2000 hours. Only use acer ceiling mount kit for mounting the projector and ensure it is securely installed.
I'll not update this projector until something really new and innovative is out : Passive 3D? My german forum contact says its only visible when on the startup screen Dark Background, white Acer letters , or when the projector is synchronizing with the computer. I will say that when I replaced the lamp door, it did not fit back perfectly, no matter how much I tried. It will not be shown to other site viewers. In the slightly-tweaked Dark Cinema preset in a dim room on a 100in screen, colours are almost perfectly saturated and there is an immense amount of detail visible in both bright and dark areas — this is thanks to a dynamic iris setting that works exceptionally well in real-world testing, doing an excellent job of optimising screen brightness to suit whatever content is playing while being largely undetectable. If it does, just tape it make sure not to cover all the vent holes. Let's star with the positive.
For this price range, an easy 5 stars. That helps a lot to begin with, also added them to the windows to improve the already good contrast. A bumpy start but we have come a long way folks. I would conceder paying for that. It will then recognize the projector and completely work with movies or gaming content for free again. I removed the cover, but there was no dust filter. There was plenty of dust, etc.
You can get it close to D65k but the adjustments do not allow for full calibration. My nephew was visiting one time and had turned off the projector from the remote and then turned off the power strip while it was in cool down mode. It seems they are doing similar to what Viewsonic did to clear the inventory. The projector will detect the lamp life. Wondering also if I didn't at one point handle the bulb with my bare fingers? I removed the cover, but there was no dust filter.
Keep this document for future reference. If Acer follows through with this and the firmware update works, I'll give it a full 5 stars, despite the glasses it comes with. Thanks to everybody who chimed in and helped out. But the image will always be above or below the projector. Someone mentioned it before, but you almost never hear of people getting an Acer projector on these forums. And with a newer projector you'll solve that issue with your image being too low on the screen as you'll had at least a vertical shift up and down +-5%ish. Returned items with minor packaging defects fall under this category.
